On Site Packing
Whether small or large, On Site Packing is a core service at CFC.
We pride ourselves on giving our best regardless of the task at hand. Our fully insured and equipped mobile crating teams are available for your fast track packing, such as a freight forwarder who has cargo in their warehouse, ready to ship via air or ocean and needs a quick crate. In this case, we will come to you to measure and verify size requirements and return with a crate built to your specifications and pack at your facility. You and/or your client then save on delivery and pick up charges to the packing site and there is also less handling and chance for damage of goods during transit.
In other cases, the export packer, freight forwarder, or shipper who has cargo at a manufacturing or supplier facility and wishes for cargo to be prepared for export at the manufacturing facility, or at the pier or carriers terminal; Century Freight is there.
Also within our scope, you may require an 'in house' solution and whether you are a manufacturer or freight forwarder, we can post an expert packing crew every day to be at your service for the daily jobs as they come up. In this case, we will make arrangements for our crew and our equipment to be available on site on a contract basis for a determined long-term basis. This crew is then supervised and managed by CFC, but the direction on job priority and daily workload comes from the client.
Export Packing
Much of our packing is also completed at our own warehouse. Goods are received, boxes are opened, and material is counted piece by piece and checked against the purchase order. We not only review quantity received, but also part numbers and inspect the goods for any visible damage or exception. We issue a material receipt and advise our client of any overage, shortage, and of course damage. We will then, as instructed by our client, contact the vendor and resolve any discrepancy. Our client will then send us a release for packing based on material receipt number. Advise of the shipping mode, country of destination is noted and all additional factors such as value of the goods, interior blocking, bracing, protection, and the engineering of the packaging is completed according to all considerations. We prepare a thorough and accurate packing list and after marking the boxes with exact weights, dimensions and shipping marks, the job is complete.
Domestic, Repair or Storage Packing
- Packaging and material preparation for Domestic transport is also a function of CFC.
